Leading Female Role will attract female audiences to the thriller film since it is now more relatable to them. Typically thrillers are very male dominant genre.
Both Nina and Natalie are female leads who show a mentally unstable streak in their characters.There is an obsessive quality for perfection in Nina Sayers and for the Black Rose we tried to mirror this with Natalie's obsessive nature. In both pictures the women are seen with their reflections. Both reflections show a different side to the characters and show inner thoughts within the two women.
The two characters are represented as ordinary women with their casual clothing, on first impression it wouldn't be assumed that both have underlying mental issues. This makes the characters are mystery for the viewers to solve throughout the film.
Natalie and Nina are both young female roles that will attract a younger audience of 15-30 year olds to the cinema.
